Family Stories Month rolls around in November, just in time for the holidays! When families gather it's an excellent time to share stories and learn about family history.
Kimberly’s family is from a small, mid-western town, called Atchison, KS. Atchison is the birthplace of famous aviator Amelia Earhart, and was a significant railway hub for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway. It has a historic charm with its riverside setting, Victorian homes, and brick streets. Although she didn’t grow up there, she migrated back to this beautiful town during the holidays to spend time with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Every year, her family would gather in her grandmother’s house for food, stories, and endless laughter. Built in 1920, this family home has hosted four boisterous generations, and some of her fondest childhood memories. We’d love to hear about the places your family has gathered generation after generation. 🏡♥️
