Gary and Kimberly Bowers are originally from the Midwest. They met during their travels abroad and were married in Gibraltar before landing in the desert in 2003. Joshua Tree immediately felt like home and they’ve been throwing down roots ever since. It’s amazing how fast 20 years goes by! In addition to owning and operating Hi Desert Water Transport, they love spending time with family and friends and braving new adventures.
Originally from Montana, Sandra has been living in the Hi-Desert since 2011. She loves spending time in her community and can always be found attending fun events happening around the Morongo Basin. When she’s not helping our amazing clients, she also enjoys reading, building jigsaw puzzles, and playing board games with her friends and family.
Allow us to introduce our first truck, the truck who paved the way for our other trucks to follow! The one, the original, SMOKEY! Smokey’s driving partner is our head honcho, Gary, and together these two rebels cover the entire Morongo Basin. They travel through the rocky roads of Pioneertown and Landers, all the way east to the shifting sands of Wonder Valley. They definitely rack up the miles while making their way across our desert landscape, so if they happen to pass you by, be sure to give them a wave and a smile!
And here’s Smokey’s sidekick, Bandit! Bandit’s pastime is traversing the high desert with our driver, Rueben. They deliver all the way from the west end of Morongo to the higher elevations of Pipes Canyon and out to the far reaches of Johnson Valley. These two daredevils love to catch attention, so be sure to say howdy when you see them coming your way!
Meet the newest addition to our team, Bullet! Bullet loves venturing into the open desert with our delivery driver, Ray. Bullet and Ray deliver water to residents on the east end of the Morongo Basin, from Joshua Tree to Wonder Valley. Rough roads and unmarked paths won’t stop these two wild adventurers, but it can be lonesome out there, so be sure to give them a friendly wave if you see them!
And finally, allow us to introduce a very special member of our team…Pearl! Our spray truck, Pearl, is a one of a kind traveler. She treks all around our desert roads to help out with dust control, construction sites, pools, and emergency preparedness. She does an amazing job of packing down sand and preparing the ground for new projects. Wherever the road takes her, she is game!
