Happy fall, y’all! Tomorrow marks the first day of autumn in the northern hemisphere with the autumnal equinox. What exactly is the autumnal equinox you ask? It’s the day that the sun shines straight at the equator, giving both the northern and southern hemispheres equal love. The earth’s tilt on its axis is what gives us seasons. As we orbit the sun, some areas on the planet get more sun than others, thus explaining why different hemispheres have different seasons. During the equinox, the amount of daylight hours and nighttime hours are nearly, but not exactly, equal. From now until the winter solstice you can expect shorter daylight hours, and good news - cooler temperatures! 🍂🍁

Happy National Apple Dumpling Day! 🥟🍎
Because apparently wrapping an apple in buttery pastry, covering it in cinnamon and sugar, and calling it a dumpling is totally acceptable…and we fully support it! 👏

1. Eat the apple
2. But make it pastry
3. Add ice cream
4. Pretend it counts as a serving of fruit 😉
