Keep your eyes on the sky this week to see the Perseid Meteor Shower! Though this prolific meteor shower runs until late August, the peak viewing day is this week, late evening on August 12th through dawn on August 13th. Viewing conditions are optimal because the peak coincides with the new moon, providing pitch black skies. Viewers can expect to see 50-100 meteors per hour under clear conditions, just look toward the constellation of Perseus to see their origin point! ☄️🌑
