Hi Desert Water Transport
We deliver bulk, potable water to the high desert communities surrounding Joshua Tree National Park.
Did you know that Joshua trees have a single pollinator? The yucca moth is a short lived, white moth that collects pollen using the tentacles around its mouth instead of having a long tongue, like other moths. After mating, the female takes her gathered pollen, moves to a new Joshua tree, deposits her eggs into the ovary and deliberately applies the gathered pollen to the stigma. The Joshua tree will now be able to fruit and provide food for the next generation of yucca moths!
