Happy Belated Earth Day! Water is a key resource on our planet, so we thought we’d share some fun facts to celebrate: Water covers 71% of Earth's surface, yet less than 1% is accessible fresh water. Water is the only substance that naturally exists as solid, liquid, and gas. Water expands by 9% when freezing, allowing ice to float. Humans are roughly 60–75% water. Hey stargazers! Did you know you can view the Lyrid Meteor shower this year from April 16th-25th, with peak viewing just after midnight on the morning of the 23rd? These meteors are part of the Thatcher comet that have broken off during its journey around the sun. You should be able to see them with your naked eye, though experts recommend giving your eyes at least 30 minutes in the darkness to adjust for proper dark viewing.
